Right off the tip, Rockland took the ball hard to basket and drew a foul and hit one of two free throws to capture a quick 1-0 lead over Canton at the NAYB Jamfest at M-Plex. That would be the only lead the Rockland Bulldogs would enjoy.
Canton would go on a 16-2 run after that keyed by causing numerous turnovers. The most impressive Canton defender was Hailee Duserick. She was seemingly everywhere on the court making plays on the defensive end during the first half.
Rockland finally found some offense and went a 6-0 run to cut the lead to 16-9 late in the first half. Canton would score three unanswered points to take a 19-9 lead into the break.
Canton's most polished player, Eileen Khoury, led her team at intermission with five points. Duserick and Erica Rosenthal added four apiece.
Canton started the second half like they started the game - with a big run. Canton used an 11-4 run to extend the lead to 30-13 and never looked back. Khoury had a mini-run of her own scoring 6 straight points for victors.
Canton won the game 38-19 and will face a formidible opponent in tournament host (5) North Attleboro on Sunday at 2:30 at The M-Plex.

Game notes:
- Although a little raw with her dribbling skills, Hailee Duserick was a menace on defense and made a number of great entry passes to post players. Extremely athletic and fast.
- Eileen Khoury has great guard skills which she exhibited with a number of great drives to the basket. She is also very alert and has good court vision as she made great decisions on the fast break. She also possesses good size so she can play multiple positions.
